At the middle of the Somdej is a Chedi flanked by two tiered umbrellas on the left and right. So, the Somdej amulet is called "Somdej Chedi KangChat".
The Chedi is the memorial symbol of Lord Buddha
Chat is a royal symbol representing the holy birth of Prince Siddhartha, son of King Suddhodana of Kapilavastu (ancient India).
Please notice that there is a Buddha image sitting at the middle of the Chedi. It's the right positon where the small Buddha statues and amulets contained inside.
Somdej Phim Chedi KangChat were first created while Somdej Toh was still alive. And a very long years later, LP Nak (B.E.2427-2514), the then abbot of Wat Rakang followed Somdej Toh's path by making and blessing such the Somdej in B.E.2495.
The Somdej was created with Somdej Toh's recipe of holy powder and materials and blessed by Somdej Toh.
Enlarged pics of the surface from microscope, we will see Somdej Toh's holy materials:
- green fragments of jade - brown fragments of Kampaengpetch amulets - yellow earth - a black burned fragment of wood mold - a tiny piece of holy white powder
These are authentic features of the Somdej Wat Rakang, Phim Chedi KangChat.
